Every cleaning company promises a “deep clean.” Almost none of them tell you what that means before you book. Here’s our full scope, room by room, plus a straight list of what’s excluded so you know what to expect and what to add on if you need it.

Stove knobs close-up before and after degreasing

Why publish this? Because “deep clean” is one of the most abused terms in the industry. When you know exactly what’s included, you can hold any cleaner (us or anyone) accountable to it. The list below is what we do on every deep clean — not what we try to do, not what we do “if there’s time,” what we do, always.

Kitchen (deep clean)

Kitchen — deep-clean scope

  • Everything in a standard clean (counters, backsplash, stovetop, microwave interior/exterior, sink, faucet, appliance exteriors, cabinet and drawer fronts, trash out, floors vacuumed and mopped)
  • Cabinet fronts and drawer fronts degreased (not just wiped)
  • Backsplash grout agitated and detail cleaned
  • Base of stovetop, edges of countertops, and behind visible appliances
  • Under-cabinet lighting fixtures dusted
  • Top of refrigerator dusted
  • Kitchen baseboards fully wiped (not spot-cleaned)
  • Kitchen window sill and accessible track detailed

Bathrooms (deep clean)

Bathrooms — deep-clean scope

  • Everything in a standard clean (toilet interior/exterior/base, shower/tub/glass, sink, vanity, faucet, mirror, ventilation cover exterior, trash out, floors vacuumed and mopped)
  • Grout and tile detail cleaning to remove accessible surface buildup
  • Shower glass mineral-buildup treatment (calcium and hard-water spots)
  • Faucet aerators and shower heads descaled
  • Vanity interior wiped down
  • Bathroom baseboards fully wiped
  • Door and door frame detailed
  • Window sill and accessible track detailed

Bedrooms & living areas (deep clean)

Bedrooms & living areas — deep-clean scope

  • Everything in a standard clean (accessible surfaces dusted, bed neatly made with existing linens, mirrors, trash, floors vacuumed or mopped)
  • Baseboards fully wiped (whole home)
  • Doors and door frames detailed
  • Accessible blinds individually dusted or wiped as condition permits
  • Window sills and accessible tracks detailed
  • Accessible ceiling fans and light fixtures carefully dusted
  • Under-bed vacuumed where clearance allows
  • Behind-furniture vacuumed where movable

General (throughout the home)

General — deep-clean scope

  • Reachable cobwebs removed (whole home)
  • Every light switch and door handle cleaned
  • Visible marks on doors and frames spot-cleaned
  • All accessible baseboards fully wiped
  • Area rugs vacuumed
  • Hard floors vacuumed and mopped with an approved product
  • Detailed attention to edges, corners, and fixture bases

What’s NOT included (available as add-ons)

These sit outside the standard deep-clean scope because they either take significantly extra time or vary too much from home to home. They’re available as à la carte add-ons — priced separately at booking:

Common add-ons

  • Inside oven — $45
  • Inside refrigerator (must be emptied) — $40
  • Interior cabinets — $8–$15 per cabinet/drawer
  • Interior windows — $8 each
  • Sliding glass door detail — $20
  • Laundry (wash & fold) — $30–$35 per load
  • Change bed linens — $15–$20 per bed
  • Pet hair treatment — from $40
  • Balcony or patio — $40–$125
  • Garage sweep — from $60

What we don’t do at all: Permanent staining, damaged grout restoration, fixture disassembly, chandelier detailing, bulb removal, blind washing (heavy buildup / fabric shades), and exterior windows. If any of that is what you need, we’ll refer you to a specialty company. We’d rather be honest about scope than take money for a job we can’t finish to standard.

Why we won’t do certain things

Every excluded item above has a specific reason. Grout restoration requires a chemical process and equipment we don’t carry — attempting it with standard products can damage the grout permanently. Fixture disassembly is a liability risk for both parties. Exterior windows require ladders and safety gear that a residential cleaning company shouldn’t attempt.

The alternative is what most companies do: claim “everything’s included,” then either skip the tasks or damage the surfaces. Neither is what you paid for. Our scope is honest — what we do, we do to standard. What we don’t do, we won’t fake.

What every deep clean looks like when we’re done

Baseboards uniformly clean, top to bottom. Grout lightened back to its original color where possible. Cabinet fronts free of oil residue. Fans and light fixtures dust-free. Shower glass mineral-free and streak-free. Every window sill wiped. Every door frame detailed. No missed corners, no “we ran out of time” tasks. It’s the reset every home needs before recurring maintenance can hold a clean baseline.
