Upholstery cleaning for sofas, sectionals, and chairs.
Fabric-specific cleaning that removes body oils, food stains, dust, and everyday dulling — without water-marking silk, shrinking wool, or damaging performance-fabric coatings.
What we clean
Sofas, sectionals, loveseats, armchairs, accent chairs, dining chairs, ottomans, and bench seating. Every piece gets fabric-identified before we clean — a couch labeled ‘performance velvet’ doesn’t get the same treatment as one labeled ‘linen blend’.
Fabric-specific process
Synthetic and durable natural fabrics get steam extraction. Delicate fibers (real velvet, silk, some linens) get dry-solvent cleaning. Performance fabrics with factory coatings (Crypton, Sunbrella, etc.) get pH-appropriate solutions that don’t strip the coating. Different fabrics, different process. Same standard.
Color-fastness testing
Every visible fabric gets a hidden-panel color test before we touch the show surface. If dye migrates during test, we adjust the process or recommend an alternative. We won’t gamble on a couch you spent $5k on.
Flat-rate, no surprises.

DIY vs. alternative vs. Connor’s.
Upholstery is where DIY goes wrong most often — permanently. Fabric-specific process avoids the water-ring disaster.
| DIY / home product | Rental upholstery attachment | Connor’s Cleaning | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fabric identification | You guess wrong | Not offered | Fabric ID before any solution |
| Delicate fibers (velvet, silk) | Water-marks fast | Risky | Dry-solvent process available |
| Performance fabrics (Crypton, Sunbrella) | Strips protective coating | Depends on operator | PH-appropriate cleaner preserves coating |
| Cushion interior cleaning | Not possible | Sometimes | Interior treated on removable cushions |
| Dry time | 24–48 hours damp | 12–24 hours | 2–4 hours |
If we don’t hit the standard — we come back, free.

What clients ask.
How long until we can use the couch again?
2–4 hours for most fabrics. Longer for velvet or heavy cotton. Air movers cut that in half if you need it faster.
What if the fabric is old and delicate?
We test first. If it’s antique silk or something fragile, we may recommend dry-solvent cleaning or refer you to a specialty vendor rather than risk it.
Do you clean cushion interiors?
Cushion covers if zippered and removable — yes. Interior foam typically stays as-is unless it has liquid damage that needs targeted extraction.
